Not a great move from Zane to strongarm the club’s very reasonable offer after 11 games of FG and to basically destroy his image to a very loyal Titans fanbase who always goes to bat for their own Gold Coast guys. He’s certainly rubbing me the wrong way here. Hope the club have the Buck...
Probably some question marks re his fitness, but Luron Patea would still be one of my top targets come Nov 1, incredibly hard to handle in the middle today, and has some ball-playing to him.
Curious, heading into Nov 1, of the three we most want to keep, who are we all most confident in...
Courier Mail reporting that talks are still ongoing between the Chiefs and Titans regarding AJ Brimson. PNG remain confident they can get a deal done. The main sticking point is that the Chiefs don’t want to pay more than 750K of Brimson’s 900K salary.
Nothing brand new yet, but thankfully...
Man, those Titans just sacked that genius coach Justin Holbrook that had the Titans dominating everyone in the NRL for no reason huh?
Seriously though, between the Holbrook chat and the Lofi drooling by NRL media, this has all just only confirmed that no one, not a single person in rugby...
The year is 2196, the relocated New Caledonia Titans have cloned Tino Faasuamaleaui, they’re currently paying him $400B per season.
He has just lead the Titans to a second to bottom of the table finish. The Wests Tigers finished with the wooden spoon. Again.
@LeagueScenePod reporting Luron Patea has been given permission to explore his options for an immediate release for 2027.
Pretty promising middle from Penrith, and ZeroTackle says he’s from the GC, would probably start in our pack right now IMO. Should be one that Hannay and Satts have a play...
As much as Holbrook’s Titans team played bad footy (yes, it was awful, they sucked), I do feel sorry for him having to coach as team that had Brian Kelly and Lofi Khan-Pereira, the worst player in the NRL, on one edge. Along with all the other muppets who were keen to be nose beers enthusiasts...
Yeah good for Holbrook. Awesome season for him. The revisionist bs here though is hilarious, his Titans teams were throwing 20-30 point leads every week under him, not entirely his fault obviously, but yeah he wasn’t moved on for no reason.
I will say I’d love some of these tough Knights...
Tapuha would be solid… we’ll see what happens there, we were after him when the DSF talk was going on. Has the Hannay link to Titans and spent time in SEQ. Sharks didn’t include him in their departing players so do want to keep him. We’ll see what happens.
As mentioned by paddy^, Rocco’s...
Shoot maybe I need to raise my standards, I’d be chuffed with Pascoe, Tuku Hau Tapuha, Rocco Berry for next season, let alone Foketi and Farnworth lol.
I have a feeling that Souths might be the team that makes a big play for Zane… they’re gonna set themselves up for something with all these players coming off-contract.
I would love to keep Zane, but 900K is a tough one to swallow.
You know I think the Broncos would be maybe the only realistic club Beau Fermor would be happy to be released to aswell, just saying. Would a straight swap for Riki work?
Holbrook doing me a solid and sending the Wahs into the shadow realm, not to mention that little b**** in the #5. Stoked.
Also if anyone is in Auckland wearing another team’s jersey tonight please be safe, Wahs fans love to bash other teams fans who are minding their own business, particularly...
Yeah I’d take Schiller and Blake Wilson aswell, don’t mind that at all. I have a feeling that the Titans are probably waiting on a couple of moves (Francis, JDG, maybe others) to happen before announcing some signings. I know one of the Vulcans middles has been linked to the Titans recently but...
No way we’re talking about moving our hugely talented 6 & 1 away. No way. Fix the damn middles and then we can talk about all of these pieces.
Also, I think people need to chill out a bit on the Hanson stuff, I like him as much as the next, but he’s not very top tier half material anytime soon...
The Bears will just be interested in stockpiling as many promising young players as they can, even better if they have NRL experience. They’ll just be wanting to take as many bites at the apple as possible now and then worry about fit later on.
