2026 Titans General Discussion Thread

The problem with our pack of forwards, as a group I don’t see much improvement in them although Hau and Bai will improve individually.

The Titans have plateaued and one could say they have gone backwards over the last month.

Compare the Titans with the improvement with Eels and how they easily accounted for the Sharks today.

The Titans current squad have reached their ceiling and only a major roster overhaul particularly in the forwards will give the Titans a chance to not finish in the bottom 4 for 6 straight seasons in 2027.

The problem with the Titans is a roster issue, not a coaching issue
 
Yep, well are just too small to be able to compete week in week out. When the best we can offer is Randall, then Haas, then Morrin, then Patston, then Fermor if he comes out of hiding … then we are stuffed.

We could carry a couple of those and hope some of the kids evolve but when you add the brainfarts they manage to conjure-up then you don’t need to be Einstein to see the root of our problems.
 
In the absence of new buys, maybe we start next year with Bodhi and Tino up front, a rejuvenated Bai at lock and Morrin and Hau in the back row. Klese on the bench with ? and ? + a 14 (Hanson or JC).

We're in for a long 2027 aren't we.
 
Hau brings aggression and people say Bodhi does too. Tino can bring more when he plays less minutes. Bai can hopefully be wound up and I don't think we need to worry about Morrin. Moe is at his best when he's putting shots on in short bursts but always needs someone to tidy up after him.

I don't think we buy aggression. It's a mindset and we can do it of we have the right prep. But I'd be happy if we bought some size and added the agression if it wasn't there already.
 
Bodhi wants the back fence hit up and has zero care for his body but is a long minute player, Him playing 30/40 next year is in the right zone with a pre season. He's someone we need to hold back till more mature due to that as well.
 
With Pascoe and Harrison getting some NRL experience this year, and a full pre season ahead, them staying injury free next season will be key.

Hanson coming on board and keeping pressure on JC to perform (or alternatively take the five eighth spot) will be good for everyone to.

Having the Zane/JC/Hanson combo is also handy given there will be multiple periods throughout the year where one of them is injured, and having the remaining two to play in the halves will mean we won’t have to resort to a makeshift halves pairing.

The fact that Kini has had another full season of NRL experience as well will only help him improve.

Hopefully all these factors means the Titans spine will improve and become more reliable next year, which will hopefully resonate through the team in all aspects.

Will we need 3 more halves in the squad. Would think we would need a total of 6 maybe.

So that's 4 halves GCG. 5 if we're counting AJ next season (but I hope we're not).

The Wahs have used 5 halves this season. Not sure if others have been forced to use more.

Correction: the Wahs have used 6 apparently. I forgot Jett Cleary on the weekend.

I've been sitting in section 22 mostly this year, but thinking about trying a different spot for the last game of the season, What's everybody's thoughts on the best zone?

I've been in section 5 for years now and love it there, mostly titans fans there and you are never in the direct sunlight during day games

I agree, definitely the western side to avoid sun in the day games.
@KloppusToppus - you'll be able to move around for the game on Friday as there'll be no one there. I haven't used my ticket allocation this year as a flexi game member on the western side but after last weeks pathetic effort, I can't be bothered wasting my time on another game this year.
