Josiah Clifford continued at fullback for the Casino Cougars in the rescheduled Round Five NRRRL First Grade match against the Bilambil Jets and inside the opening minute as he was running back towards his own try line Josiah Clifford took an attacking Jets kick on the full, wheeling around just two metres from his own try line before getting the ball back to the thirteen metre mark.

From the right of the play the ball in the 35th minute Josiah Clifford charged from twenty six to twelve metres from the try line and a minute later from the right of the dummy half Josiah Clifford burst through the centre of the field from twenty two to thirty four metres from his try line before receiving a penalty for ruck interference. Then from wide to the right of the play the ball in the 42nd minute Josiah Clifford moved the ball from twenty eight to eighteen metres from the try line. Josiah Clifford also returned a kick in the 64th minute after catching it on the full from sixteen to thirty three metres from his try line after breaking a tackle.
 
Round Four of the 2025 NSWRL U18 Laurie Daley Cup competition saw Fletcher O’Doherty start at lock for the Newcastle Maitland Knights against the Illawarra South Coast Dragons with Fletcher O’Doherty recording the first of his two try assists in the 18th minute when after carrying the ball from the right of the play the ball from sixteen to ten metres from the try line Fletcher O’Doherty held up a good short pass to his right to put one of his front rowers over to score four metres to the right of the posts.

Fletcher O’Doherty recorded his second try assist in the 32nd minute when from the left of the play the ball Fletcher O’Doherty ran deep into the defensive line from ten to four metres out from the try line before throwing a short ball to his left to put one of the Knights replacement forwards (No. 16) over to score adjacent to the left goal post.

After returning the opening kick-off of the match to the twenty two metres mark Fletcher O’Doherty, two tackles later ran the ball from ten metres inside his half to two metres into the Dragons before receiving a penalty for a high tackle. Then in the 2nd minute from the right of the dummy half moved the ball from fourteen to within a metre of the try line adjacent to the right goal post. Also from the right of the play the ball in the 9th minute Fletcher O’Doherty ran the ball from thirty to forty one metres from the try line.

A minute later in the 10th minute Fletcher O’Doherty carried the ball through the centre of the field from twenty to ten metres from the try line. Then in the 12th minute from the left of the dummy half eight metres inside his own half Fletcher O’Doherty dummied twice to his left before running himself to eight metres into Dragon’s territory. Also from the left of the play the ball in the 18th minute Fletcher O’Doherty burst through the centre of the field from twenty to ten metres from the try line before getting a short pass away to his left.
 
Jabiri Mack moved into the Ipswich Jets starting side at lock in Round Ten of the Ipswich Rugby league A Grade competition against the Redbank Plains Bears and in the 8th minute from the left of the dummy half Jabiri Mack carried the ball to within a metre of the try line adjacent to the left goal post after a thirteen metre effort two passes to the left of the play the ball.

From two passes to the right of the dummy half in the 11th minute Jabiri Mack carried the ball from ten to twenty metres from his try line during an Ipswich yardage set. Then in the 12th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball Jabiri Mack promoted the ball through the centre of the field from twenty to eight metres from the try line. Jabiri Mack also ran the ball through the centre of the field in the 15th minute from the left of the dummy half to carry the ball from thirty five to forty eight metres from the try line.

Once again in the 23rd minute from the right of the play the ball and to the right of the dummy half Jabiri Mack charged through the centre of the field from twenty to thirty metres from his try line. Then in the 60th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball Jabiri Mack progressed the ball from twenty one to ten metres from the try line. Also in the 76th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half Jabiri Mack carried the ball through the centre of the field from forty metres from his try line to the halfway mark.
 
Isaac Lagaaia started on the right wing for Keebra Park SHS in the 2205 Queensland School Boy Rugby League Year Ten Final against Kirwan SHS with Isaac Lagaaia recording a try assist in the 44th minute when after exploding down the right touchline from thirty to fifteen metres from the try line Isaac Lagaaia drew the Kirwan SHS fullback and off-loaded to his inside to put his fullback over to score.

In the 12th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball progressed the ball from fifteen to twenty five metres from his try line during a Keebra Park SHS yardage set.
 
In early January 2026 Santino Pekepo-Tavaga started at left centre for the Future Titans U19 side in their annual match in Coff Harbour against the Newcastle Knights and in the 6th minute from wide to the left of the play the ball and thirty four metres from his try line Santino Pekepo-Tavaga made twelve metres.

Santino Pekepo-Tavaga carried the ball down a short left blindside in the 8th minute from twenty four to forty metres from his try line. Then two tackles later Santino Pekepo-Tavaga ran down a left blindside from forty seven to thirty seven metres from the try line. Also in the 15th minute from a Titans penalty restart Santino Pekepo-Tavaga promoted the ball from twenty five to thirty five metres from his try line.

The 22nd minute saw Santino Pekepo-Tavaga run out of dummy half down a short left blindside from forty four to thirty three metres from the try line. Then from the right of the play the ball but to the left of the posts in the 24th minute Santino Pekepo-Tavaga propelled the ball during a Titans yardage set from two to twelve metres from his own try line. Then a tackle later from right of the play the ball Santino Pekepo-Tavaga ran the ball from twenty to thirty metres from his try line. Santino Pekepo-Tavaga also carried the ball down a left blindside in the 25th minute from thirty to twenty five metres from the try line with Santino Pekepo-Tavaga then throwing a superb right arm “underground” pass to his left to put Tye Hogan-Collins down the left touchline.

From the left of a Titans scrum win in the 41st minute Santino Pekepo-Tavaga produced a strong run from eight metres out from his own try line to get the Titans away from their own try line and out to the thirty metre mark. Santino Pekepo-Tavaga produced another strong yardage effort in the 53rd minute down a short left blindside from literally on his own try line to the ten metre mark. Also in the 63rd minute Santino Pekepo-Tavaga ran to his right out of dummy half from twenty eight to thirty eight metres from his own try line.

Off a pass from his right from Tyler Pereira, Santino Pekepo-Tavaga charged from the halfway mark to forty metres from the try line. Then as the Titans attacked from deep inside his own territory Santino Pekepo-Tavaga smartly calculated the requisite space with a quick catch and pass to his left from ten metres from his own try line to put Tye Hogan-Collins away down the left touchline.
 
In early January 2026 Devin Bates-Wellington started at right centre for the Future Titans U19 side in their annual match in Coff Harbour against the Newcastle Knights and in the 2nd minute from the left of the play the ball but to the right of the posts Devin Bates-Wellington charged during a Titans yardage set from six to sixteen metres from his try line.

In the 5th minute from two passes to the right of a Titans scrum win Devin Bates-Wellington promoted the ball from ten to twenty three metres from his try line after straightening his run by way of a right foot step. Then from the left of the dummy half in the 15th minute Devin Bates-Wellington progressed the ball from forty eight to thirty eight metres from the try line. Also in the 31st minute from two passes to the right of a Titans scrum win Devin Bates-Wellington surged from thirty six to twenty metres from the try line.

Again from the right of a Titans scrum win in the 40th minute Devin Bates-Wellington charged from five to twenty eight metres from his try line near the right touchline. Then in the 43rd minute from the right of the play the ball Devin Bates-Wellington stepped off his right foot to beat three defenders as he carried the ball from forty metres from the try line to the halfway mark. Also in the 48th minute from the left of the dummy half Devin Bates-Wellington ran from sixteen to twenty seven metres from his try line.
 
In early January 2026 Elliott Farrell started on the right wing for the Future Titans U19 side in their annual match in Coff Harbour against the Newcastle Knights with Elliott Farrell doing well in the 26th minute when he dived over the right touchline to bounce a poor Titans pass to his wing back into the field of play to keep possession for the Titans.

From the right of the play the ball in the 42nd minute Elliott Farrell charged through the centre of the field from five metres inside his half to seven metres into Knights territory. Then in the 35th minute after taking a Newcastle kick on the full Elliott Farrell charged hard and straight out to the thirty five metre mark.

The 64th minute saw Elliott Farrell make another Knights kick on the full running forward on the halfway to mark to make thirteen metres. Elliott Farrell also did well in the 69th minute when while defending on his own goal line Elliott Farrell tracked back into the in-goal area in anticipation of a Knights attacking grubber kick with Ellliott Farrell recovering the ball cleanly and diving back into the field of play to negate any Newcastle advantage.
 
In early January 2026 Justus Lowndes started at five eight for the Future Titans U19 side in their annual match in Coff Harbour against the Newcastle Knights with Justus Lowndes scoring in the 35th minute when he swept from the left of the ruck to the right to receive a great held up pass from his left from Jhett Sydir and run a ten metre outside shoulder line and carried a defender over the try line to get the ball down five metres in from the right corner post.

Justus Lowndes can close to winning the match for the Titans in the last minute when he burst onto the ball ten metres inside his own half and immediately chipped over the top and very nearly regathered the ball ten metres inside Newcastle territory, it is so very close.

Justus Lowndes did well to position himself appropriately in just the 2nd minute when he retrieved a Knights attacking grubber kick on his own try line under his posts with a Justus Lowndes left foot step beating the kicker to make eight critical metres. Then in the 15th minute Justus Lowndes followed through a Jhett Sydir mid-field bomb and after the Knights fullback lost the ball Justus Lowndes swooped on the ball and ran from twenty to ten metres from the try line.

In the 20th minute from the left of a Titans scrum win Justus Lowndes carried the ball from twenty to ten metres from the try line to draw a defender and off-load to his left to Santino Pekepo-Tevaga.

In the 56th minute a Justus Lowndes spiralling kick-off was knocked on in the in-goal area by the Knights fullback to require a Newcastle goal line drop-out. Then in the 63rd minute after receiving a pass from Tyler Pereira, Justus Lowndes darted forward from thirty to twenty metres from the try line and then put in a chip kick for himself and then followed through to tackle the Knights fullback a metre from the try line.

Defensively in the 30th minute Justus Lowndes put a huge hit on the Knights replacement forward No. 24 with Justus Lowndes’s heavy initial contact forcing the ball runner back three metres before driving him into the ground.

Justus Lowndes performance saw him named the Titans Player of the Match.
 
In early January 2026 Jhett Sydir started at halfback for the Future Titans U19 side in their annual match in Coff Harbour against the Newcastle Knights with Jhett Sydir setting up both of the Titans tries.

Jhett Sydir recorded his initial try assist in the 16th minute when from the right of the play the ball Jhett Sydir took the ball right to the defensive line before dropping the ball on his right foot to grubber into the in-goal area for Jett Flatley to race through and ground the ball twelve metres to the right of the uprights.

Jhett Sydir recorded his second try assist in the 35th minute with a great held up pass to his right from ten metres from the try line and to the right of the dummy half to put Justus Lowndes into space and over to score five metres in from the right corner post.

Jhett Sydir could easily have finished the match with three try assists when in the 20th minute when from the right of the play the ball Jhett Sydir ran from sixteen to eight metres from the try line before throwing a smart pass to his right to put Jett Flatley into space but the referee ruled that Jett Flatley lost the ball over the try line before grounding.

Jhett Sydir also forced a Knights goal line drop-out in the 10th minute when from the left of the play the ball ten metres from the try line in the centre of the field Jhett Sydir put up a high bomb towards the right corner with the ball dropped by the Knights left winger in the in-goal area to require the goal line drop-out.

The 15th minute saw Jhett Sydir run down a short right blindside from eight metres inside his half to eight metres into the Knights after beating a defender with a right foot step.

Jhett Sydir put up another high mid-field bomb in the 15th minute from forty eight metres out from the try line with the Knights fullback dropping the ball for Justus Lowndes swooping on the ball and running from twenty to ten metres from the try line.
 
Isaiah Pene started on the left wing for the Ipswich Jets in Round Ten of the 2025 Ipswich Rugby League A Grade competition against the Redbank Plains Bears with Isaiah Pene scoring once again in the 73rd minute when Isaiah Pene chased a Jets kick to his wing from thirty two metres from the try line to ground the ball in the in-goal six metres in from the left corner post.

From wide to the left of the play the ball in the 21st minute and just twelve metres from his own try line Isaiah Pene was able to make an important thirteen metres, Then from the right of the play the ball in the 23rd minute Isaiah Pene carried the ball during a Jets yardage set from four to fourteen metres from his try line.
 
Fletcher O’Doherty continued at lock for the Newcastle Maitland Knights in Round Five of the U18 Laurie Daley Cup competition against the Central Coast Roosters with Fletcher O’Doherty taking the fifth hit-up of the match from the right of the dummy half to move the ball from six metres inside his half to ten metres into the Roosters before getting a left arm flick off-load away.

From the right of the play the ball in the 5th minute Fletcher O’Doherty carried the ball through the centre of the field from twenty five to thirty five metres from his try line and two tackles later from the right of the play the ball Fletcher O’Doherty made a further twelve metres from forty seven metres from the try line. Fletcher O’Doherty also promoted the ball through the centre of the field from left of the dummy half in the 12th minute from thirty eight metres from his try line to the halfway mark.

From the left of the play the ball again in the 15th minute and sixteen metres from the try line Fletcher O’Doherty got within a metre of the try line twelve metres to the left of the uprights after a show and go to his left. Fletcher O’Doherty then carried the ball down a short left blindside from forty metres from his try line to the halfway mark. Also in the 48th minute in his second stint on the field Fletcher O’Doherty charged through the centre of the field from the right of the dummy half from the halfway mark to forty metres from the try line.

From the right of the play the ball again in the 56th minute Fletcher O’Doherty stepped off his right foot to run through the centre of the field to gain fifteen metres from forty five metres from the try line. Then from the right of the play the ball again in the 59th minute Fletcher O’Doherty propelled the ball from three metres inside his half to eight metres into Central Coast’s. Fletcher O’Doherty also ran through the centre of the field in the 66th minute from the left of the dummy half from the halfway mark to forty metres from the try line.
 
Josiah Clifford started at fullback for the Casino Cougars in Round Sixteen of the NRRRL First grade competition against Northern United with Josiah Clifford scoring the first of his two tries in the 9th minute with Josiah Clifford backing up a Casino line break through the centre of the field with Josiah Clifford taking a short pass from his right and racing sixty two metres to score under the posts.

Josiah Clifford scored his second try in the 37th minute when from two passes to the right of a Cougars scrum win seventeen metres from the try line Josiah Clifford burst between two defenders and then carried one of those defenders three metres to ground the ball over the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

After taking a Northern United clearing kick on the full in the 2nd minute Josiah Clifford returned the ball through the centre of the field from seventeen to thirty two metres from the try line after breaking a tackle. Then in the 16th minute from an off-load from his right Josiah Clifford darted through the centre of the field from eighteen to thirty metres from the try line. Also from an off-load from his right in the 30th minute Josiah Clifford carried the ball from five metres inside his half to five metres into Northern United’s through the centre of the field.
 
Max Imrie started at hooker for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Twelve of the GCRL U16 Division Two competition against the Mudgeeraba Redbacks and in the 8th minute ran out of dummy half to his right during a Currumbin yardage set to progress the ball from twenty three to thirty three metres from his try line. Max Imrie also ran out of dummy half to his right in the 56th minute to carry the ball down a short right blindside from eighteen to within six metres of the try line and six metres in from the right touchline.
 
Leo Hunt started at halfback for Queensland White in Round Five of the 2025 U15 ASSRL School Boy Championships against the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) with Leo Hunt dominating proceedings on the way to setting up three of the four Queensland White tries.

Leo Hunt recorded the first of his three try assists in the 4th minute when from eighteen metres from the try line to the left of the dummy half in the centre of the field Leo Hunt put up a high right foot bomb towards the left corner with the kick taken on the full by a Met West team mate on the try line to score in the left corner.

Leo Hunt recorded his second try assist in the 18th minute with the circumstances not dis-similar to his first try assist. On this occasion from the right of the play the ball in the centre of the field and thirty two metres from the try line Leo Hunt’s high right foot bomb to his right was once again taken on the full by a team mates for Met West to score in the right corner.

Leo Hunt made it three try assists in the 22nd minute from smart ball playing to the left of the dummy half when after carrying the ball from nineteen to eleven metres from the try line and deep into the defensive line Leo Briggs double pumped a smart pass to his left to put his left second rower over to score.

From two passes to the right of a Queensland White scrum win in the 28th minute Leo Hunt carried the ball from twenty two to twelve metres from the try line before being awarded a penalty after being held down too long by a defender.
 
Isaiah Pene continued on the left wing for the Ipswich Jets in Round Twelve of the Ipswich Rugby League A Grade competition against the Fassifern Bombers with Isaiah Pene setting up the first of two tries in the 7th minute when after receiving a cut-out pass from his inside Isaiah Pene raced down the left touchline from twenty two to twelve metres from the try line with Isaiah Pene then drawing the fullback and passing inside to his right to put his left centre over to score.

Isaiah Pene recorded a second try assist in the 25th minute from another effort down the left touchline from fifteen to three metres from the try line Isaiah Pene once again drew the fullback and passed inside to his right to put his halfback over to score.

Isaiah Pene could easily have finished the match with a third try assist in the 33rd minute when after charging down the left touchline from thirty two to twelve metres from the try line Isaiah Pene threw a high cut-out pass to his inside to his right to his replacement dummy half No. 14 but unfortunately the ball was dropped over the try line when attempting to put the ball onto the ground.

Isaiah Pene made another line break in the 66th minute by way of an effort down the left touchline from thirty five metres from his try line to twenty eight metres from the try line at the opposite end of the field.

From the right of the dummy half but to the left of the posts in the 6th minute Isaiah Pene carried the ball from twenty eight to thirty eight metres from his try line. Then in the 6th minute after taking a Fassifern kick on the first bounce thirty two metres from his own try line near the left touchline Isaiah Pene ran to his right and after beating a defender carried the ball to within fourteen metres of the try line. Also in the 29th minute from the left of the dummy half Isaiah Pene propelled the ball from eighteen to thirty metres from his try line during a Jets yardage set.

Isaiah Pene carried the ball through the centre of the field from the right of the play the ball during an Ipswich yardage set from eighteen to thirty two metres from his try line. An Isaiah Pene kick return after taking a Fassifern kick on the full running back towards his own try line fifteen metres out from his own try line saw Isaiah Pene return the ball to the forty metre mark. Also in the 61st minute from the left of the dummy half Isaiah Pene was able to progress the ball from eighteen to thirty two metres from his try line.
 
Fletcher O’Doherty started at lock for the Newcastle Maitland Knights in Week One of the 2025 U18 Laurie Daley Cup Finals against the Illawarra South Coast Dragons with Fletcher O’Doherty scoring in the 31st minute with an eight metre two tackle busting charge from the left of the play the ball to crash over to score adjacent to the left goal post.

Fletcher O’Doherty also recorded a try assist in the 34th minute when after running the ball from the right of the dummy half to twenty to ten metres from the try line Fletcher O’Doherty held up a short pass to his right after going deep into the defensive line to put his right second rower over to score under the posts.

After making the fifth hit-up of the match from the left of the dummy half through the centre of the field from four metres inside his half to eight metres into the Dragons Fletcher O’Doherty also carried the ball through the centre of the field from the left of the play the ball from thirty eight to forty eight metres from his try line. Fletcher O’Doherty also ran the ball through the centre of the field from the left of the play the ball in the 18th minute to promote the ball from forty to twenty eight metres from the try line.

In the 30th minute from the right of the dummy half thirty two metres from the try line Fletcher O’Doherty stepped off his right foot and after beating three metres ran the ball to within eleven metres of the try line. From the right of the play the ball again in the 39th minute Fletcher O’Doherty charged straight through the centre of the field from eight metres inside his half to six metres into the Dragon’s.

From the right of the play the ball in the 59th minute Fletcher O’Doherty was able to carry the ball from twenty to ten metres from the try line before getting an off-load away in the tackle to his right. Then from the left of the play the ball in the 61st minute Fletcher O’Doherty carried the ball from forty five to thirty metres from the try line.
 
Josiah Clifford started at fullback for the Casino Cougars in Week One of the NRRRL 2025 First Grade Finals series against the Bilambil Jets and in the 21st minute from a Casino twenty metre tap Josiah Clifford was able to make eleven metres.

In the 23rd minute Josiah Clifford returned a Bilambil kick from twenty to thirty six metres from his try line after initially trapping the bouncing ball with his legs and a minute later Josiah Clifford returned another kick from six metres from his try line to twenty five metres out. Then from two passes to the left of the play the ball in the 55th minute Josiah Clifford ran through the centre of the field from the halfway mark to forty metres from the try line from a standing start. Josiah Clifford also carried the ball through the centre of the field in the 57th minute from the left of the dummy half from thirty four to eighteen metres from the try line.
 
After missing Round Thirteen Isaiah Pene returned on the left wing for the Ipswich Jets in Round Fourteen of the Ipswich Rugby League A Grade competition against the West End Bulldogs with Isaiah Pene carrying the ball to the right of the play the ball through the centre of the field from twenty to thirty two metres from his try line in the 3rd minute. Then from the right of the dummy half again in the 17th minute Isaiah Pene continued to run to his right from eighteen to thirty metres from his try line.
 
Max Imrie continued at hooker for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Thirteen of the GCRL U16 Division Two competition against Runaway Bay Blue with Max Imrie kicking a great conversion from the left touchline in the 14th minute.

Max Imrie set up a Currumbin try in the 42nd minute when after backing up on the inside of a Currumbin line break down the right touchline by his right centre Max Imrie received a pass twenty metres out from his right centre a Max Imrie left foot step beat one and when ten metres from the try line Max Imrie drew the fullback and pass to his right back to his right centre who scored in the right corner as a result.

Max Imrie also recorded a line break assist in the 7th minute when after running out of dummy half down a short left blindside from the halfway mark to thirty eight metres from the try line Max Imrie drew the Runaway Bay right winger before off-loading to his left to his left winger to make a line break down the left touchline.

In the 6th minute Max Imrie ran to his left off the back of an Eagles scrum win and after stepping off his right foot twice and carrying the ball from ten to twenty five metres from his try line Max Imrie drew a defender before off-loading to his left to his left centre.
 
Jabiri Mack continued at left second row for the Ipswich Jets in Round Two of the 2025 MM Cup competition against the Sunshine Coast Falcons and in the 8th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball Jabiri Mack’s yardage carry promoted the ball from ten to twenty metres from his try line and then won a penalty for crowding by the Falcon’s marker. Then in the 36th minute Jabiri Mack carried the ball down a left blindside from sixteen to twenty nine metres from his try line after breaking a tackle.
