Titans gearing up for Northern Rivers Fan Day this Saturday

The Gold Coast Titans are heading south this Saturday, 7 February, for a major community event that’s sure to be a highlight in the lead-up to the 2026 NRL season.
At Crozier Field in Lismore, fans will get a rare opportunity to see the Titans’ NRL squad in action with one of their final training sessions before their first trial match of the year against the Dolphins next week.
The free, family-friendly Northern Rivers Fan Day will run from 9am to around midday, kicking off with training where the Titans will oppose the Tweed Seagulls and followed by player signings, photos, and plenty of activities throughout the morning.
It will also double as the Marist Rams sign-on day, which starts at 8:30am.
“It’s more than just training, it’s a celebration of the region’s rugby league roots and strong community spirit,” Titans CEO Steve Mitchell said ahead of the visit.
“We are very, very excited about being in Lismore on the 7th of February, as this is one of our really important community regions.”
The Titans’ connection to the Northern Rivers runs deep, with several current first-grade squad members hailing from the area and the region’s junior participation hitting record levels.
Mitchell also highlighted why events like this matter.
“If you disconnect with your communities and the people that actually come to your games and play your game, you become just a retail shop front, which we’re not.
We need to be in our regions.”
The day will begin with the open training session featuring the Titans and their Hostplus Cup affiliate, the Tweed Seagulls, from 9am, with a full team signing session to follow at approximately 11.30am.

Titans to host Northern Rivers Fan Day in Lismore
Josh Hannay will take his NRL squad on the road to visit one of the Titans' most passionate regions, hosting a Northern Rivers Fan Day in Lismore on Saturday, February 7.

"The Northern Rivers has always been a vital part of the Titans’ community and our entire organisation is proud to be returning to Lismore to immerse ourselves with one of our most passionate regions," he said.
"Our club has deep ties to this region - from grassroots participation to diehard fans who have been with us in solidarity since the beginning in 2007 - events like this allow us to say thank you and build even stronger connections heading into the season.
"I know how passionate Josh is with initiatives such as this and we want this to be a community celebration of rugby league.
"Fans will be welcome to watch training and then meet the players, grab a photo or autograph and be part of the Titans journey as we prepare for an exciting new season.”
Lismore City Council Mayor Cr Steve Krieg is excited to welcome the Titans for their upcoming Fan Day.
"Lismore is grateful to the Gold Coast Titans for the generosity of bringing a genuine NRL fan experience to our region," he said.
"This is more than a quick visit. They are training at Crozier Field and making time for a public signing session.
"Having training and interactive sessions like this inspires our kids and strengthens community sport.
"I encourage everyone to come along to Crozier Field on Saturday, February 7; watch the sessions, take part in the activities on the day and enjoy meeting the players."

I vividly remember attending our first trial matches in 2007 in Coffs Harbour and Lismore. Having 2 our of 3 trial matches in year 1 was a statement about how the club feels about the areas. It has stuck with me.
